IOSH Managing Safely® in Social Housing

The three day IOSH Managing Safely® in Social Housing course has been developed specifically for managers and supervisors operating within the social housing sector. It will provide an understanding of everyone’s safety and health responsibilities in the workplace and will enable managers and supervisors to recognise how they can influence, control and monitor risk to improve safety and health issues in the workplace. We focus on the hazards encountered in the sector as well as including a look at the responsibilities that organisations and managers have for tenant and resident safety.

BOHS P901 Management and Control of Building Hot and Cold Water Systems

This one day training course gives attendees an overview of legionella bacteria risk, and how it can be controlled in hot and cold water systems in compliance with regulatory requirements.

This is a level 4 qualification in the BOHS qualifications framework. Candidates should have a basic understanding of legionella risk control principles and are recommended to take the P900 course if they have no prior experience of controlling or managing legionella risk in water systems.

IATP Approved Asbestos Awareness… PLUS option to add ‘Duty to Manage’ session

Join us in the morning for this IATP Approved Asbestos Awareness session; we’ve designed this training to be split into three ‘toolbox’ sessions so it’s easy for delegates to digest the information. The course follows the overall IATP syllabus and we have been approved to deliver the training in this way.

Duty to Manage (optional)

Our afternoon session would allow you to extend your asbestos knowledge to include a basic understanding of the legislative requirements of CAR 2012 with particular reference to the Duty Holder and who that can be, the surveys available, what to expect in a survey and the asbestos management plan and its use.

This training day is crammed full of useful information to help you to better understand the requirements and put them into practice within your organisation.

As well as learning about when CDM applies to works and what exactly is required by social landlords, you’ll also get the opportunity to work through practical exercises.
