Here at Housing H&S Compliance UK Ltd, we are proud to have a wide and diverse portfolio of training courses available, many of which have been tailored for those working in the social housing sector. All of our courses are delivered by experienced and technically competent trainers in a ‘down to earth’ way that encourages learning and invites questions and ALL of our courses are available to be delivered in-house at your premises for a lot less cost than you may think.

The following courses are all 1/2 day theoretical training, but, should you wish, there is the option to add practical training to the course to provide a full days training.

We are delighted to offer an 'exclusive' electrical safety workshop for social housing organisations. A one-day practical workshop which focuses on electrical safety in the social housing sector and which looks predominantly at the practical measures and controls that you can adopt to ensure the safety of the electrical installations in your Commercial, Domestic and office properties as well as HMO's.
Mental Health First Aid
All delivered by our qualified Mental Health England Instructor, we are delighted to be able to offer you a selection of Mental Health courses;
Mental Health Aware (1/2 day)
This introductory four-hour session raises awareness of mental health. Your employees will gain:
• An understanding of what mental health is and how to challenge stigma
• A basic knowledge of some common mental health issues
• An introduction to looking after their own mental health and maintaining wellbeing
• Confidence to offer support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
The MHFA (Mental health First Aid) Champions
This Full Day mental health awareness and skills course qualifies your employees as MHFA Champions, giving them:
• Knowledge and confidence to provide Mental Health First Aid for the most common mental health issues
• An understanding of how to help build a mentally healthy workplace, challenge stigma and support positive wellbeing
The 2 day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.
MHFA won’t teach you to be a therapist, but just like physical first aid, it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis

This course is IATP Approved Our Duty to Manage Asbestos training course is directed at those who manage premises, and have a responsibility for protecting the people who work in…
Course fees include tuition, course notes, writing materials, lunch and refreshments and certification.
Overnight accommodation is NOT included in the fees and, if required, must be booked and paid for separately by the client. Details of accommodation local to the training venues are available on request.
Upon receipt of a Course Booking Form one of the team will allocate a place for the delegate and a confirmation email will be sent to the course contact (if applicable) or delegate(s) concerned.
A a pro forma invoice will be issued a short time after the booking has been received and must be settled in order to guarantee a place on the chosen course.
Delegates will be emailed a minimum of two weeks prior to the course/training date with specific venue information and relevant course information.
Examination courses – results will be conveyed to the course contact / delegate and certificate(s) issued to same person, unless otherwise requested. Results will be advised within two weeks of the end of the course; examination fees are included in the cost of the course (where applicable) with the exception of BOHS courses where a separate fee is payable (specified on advertising). Certificates will be forwarded to delegates as they are received from the examination body.
Housing H&S Compliance UK Ltd reserves the right to cancel or change the venue of any course at any time without liability (very rarely necessary). Delegates will be offered an alternative date or venue, a credit note or full refund of all fees paid.
Payment Terms (Public Courses)
Fees must be paid when the course has been booked and upon receipt of our invoice, which will be sent within two weeks of the booking confirmation, unless agreed otherwise.
Payment can be made by BACS transfer quoting the invoice number or by cheque made payable to Housing H&S Compliance UK Ltd. We reserve the right to allocate places on the courses to other delegates who may be on the waiting list if course fees are not paid on time.
Completion and submission of the booking form is a contract between the client and Housing H&S Compliance UK Ltd, whether fees are paid or not, and therefore cancellation terms apply to all submitted booking forms.
Delegate Cancellations (Public Courses)
Cancellations must be made in writing (including email) and the following applies:
OVER 31 days’ notice – full refund with no fees payable
21-31 days’ notice – 50% charge
LESS than 21 days’ notice- full fees payable, no refunds. *Substitute delegate allowed
For delegates who fail to attend for any reason on the day, the full fee is payable/non-refundable.
*Substitute delegates will be welcome with no penalty charge as long as they can fulfil the delegate criteria.
In-Company / In-House Courses
The client agrees to provide an adequate training room for the number of delegates to be trained and an in-house contact to ensure the smooth running of the course, i.e. access to the site, ability to set-up prior to the start time and provision of refreshments for the trainer.
Liaison prior to the course will identify training equipment available on site for the trainer to use and where necessary Housing H&S Compliance UK Ltd will provide the necessary presentation equipment.
Course fees include tuition, course notes where applicable and writing materials. Delegate numbers should not exceed the maximum quoted; if they do, then an additional charge per delegate may be made. In some circumstances too many delegates could affect the benefits and efficiency of the course and in these instances the client will be informed in order that a compromise is reached.
Additional charges for the trainer, including travel, accommodation, subsistence will be agreed prior to acceptance of any bookings.
Examination courses – results will be conveyed to the course contact and certificates issued to the same person upon receipt from the examination body.
Payment Terms (In-Company / In-House Courses)
Clients will be invoiced following the training; with payment terms of strictly 28 days (please advise if payment will be made outside this timeframe to avoid unnecessary chasing of payment). Remittance can be by BACS quoting the invoice number or company cheque made payable to Housing H&S Compliance UK Ltd.
Please note that delegate certificates will only be issued upon receipt of full course payment.
Cancellations In-Company / In-House Courses
Must be made in writing (including email) and the following terms apply:
14-31 days’ notice – 25% of daily rate is payable;
LESS than 14 days’ notice- full daily rate is payable.

Housing H&S Compliance UK Ltd reserves the right to change the content of advertised courses without prior notice in order to ensure that training is in line with current legislation, standards and awarding body criteria.

This full day course is specifically for managers working in the social housing sector.
- Employers’ responsibilities and an overview of Legislation – RRFSO

IFSM-accredited Fire Risk Assessment for general needs, sheltered and extra care accommodation (three-day course)
Comprehensive and accredited, three-day training programme, specifically designed for the housing sector to give you an understanding of fire safety issues in general needs high and low rise flat blocks and sheltered & extra care housing schemes, and will provide the basics or complement your existing knowledge.
Developed with industry professionals, we’ve tailored this course specifically to focus on general needs high and low-rise flat blocks as well as sheltered and extra care accommodation in England and Wales.
